From Vila Real arrive the famous “covilhetes”, a crunchy meat pasty with ham, traditionally baked in black clay pans, more specifically, the black clay of Bisalhães, a region traditionally known for its pottery.

Step 1: Heat the oven well to 220ºC, in a conventional oven, and to 200ºC, in a ventilated oven.

Step 2: Remove the product from the freezer.

Step 3 (optional): Prepare the tray with parchment paper.

Step 4 (optional): Spray or brush the frozen Rissole with oil on both sides for a more golden colour. In the case of pies and luanas, brush the frozen product with egg yolk on the top.

Step 5: Cook the product (s) between 10 to 15 minutes, until a minimum temperature of 75ºC is reached inside.

Important note: Observe the products in the oven during the cooking process, since the indication of the binomial time / temperature varies depending on the characteristics of the equipment used.
